Another one is in the books and we crossed the state together again. In 2012 we got everybody across and unfortunately, like last year, we failed in that regard in 2014. Endeavor Racing and CP Bound had to call their races early due to injury and tiredness but we know they will be back and racing hard in the future. It is our goal every year for a 100% completion rate so hopefully we can get back there in 2015.

The beautiful chaos it takes to survive this race on our end is becoming more and more manageable. There are a lot of problems that arise that no planning can prepare us for. The fact that the racers go out of their way to compliment our coordinated effort shows the amount of hard work that is put in from coast to coast.

Our volunteers are all-stars and deserve more credit than we can ever give them. Everyone gets leaned on throughout and has to make important decisions or solve new problems as they arise. Most of them were on board for the entire event and filled in every role possible.

David, Drew, Alex, and Rod were moving U-hauls, boats, gear, and bikes all over the place often times setup alone for hours on end. Jennifer did the same for half of the race and thankfully John and Jamie were there to pick up where she left off. Leigh managed the monster RV again and posted results rather flawlessly throughout. Tanya and Rebecca filled in at TAs everywhere and kept us all fed which is more important than ever thought before. Mark went above and beyond his EMT duties filling in at TAs and capturing photos for everyone. Unseen to most, Allen was out there finishing up course setting during the event and the post race meal by Frank, Edwin, and family was the highlight of post race once again.

It takes a huge effort to get this done and we've already begged everyone to help out next year. There were a few times when support wasn't at the right place at the right time and those issues were quickly corrected. We will always strive to make that a non-issue going forward.

On to the action: What another exciting race on top of the leaderboard! Last year it was Checkpoint Zero pulling out a thrilling victory over a couple of Rev3 teams and this year they were back at it again.

Trading the top spot throughout, Rev3/MK and Rev3 held on this time outlasting Checkpoint Zero (CPZ) at the very end. By the time both teams left the big O-course in the Ocala National Forest Saturday morning, CPZ made up a ton of ground and had a slight lead. The ensuing Bike 5 leg saw the Rev3 teams take that ground back for good. CPZ took it home hard to close the gap as much as possible but it just wasn't enough. It is amazing how over 50 hours of racing can come down to that.

We see this rivalry as tied at one a game piece and look forward to the rubber match. We also expect some big competitors to try to spoil it for both in 2015. A special big congrats to Joe and Jeffrey from Rev3 who won with CPZ last year and (for all intense and purposes) repeated under a new banner this year. An impressive feat and really make them look like Sea 2 Sea MVPs.

Overall six teams cleared the entire course in time. That is a new personal best for this race. Team Super Frogs continued their great success when racing with us. Layer 3 always does well but can now add a clear to their Sea 2 Sea AR resume. And TeamHalfwayThere put it all together taking over 70 hours to complete the entire thing. Everyone deserves a lot of credit for competing but these teams get a special mention for seeing it all.

One last special mention goes out to Florida Xtreme/ Hunter. At twelve-years-old, Hunter is now the youngest racer to ever complete an expedition event like this. Trust us he wasn't carried along for the ride and he proved to everyone he belongs out there. Great Job!

We are thankful for all the people that decided to come along for the ride with us. Like every year, we had a wide range of racers all with different goals. To get a glimpse into the demographics of the field, check out the Survey Results page. And for those racers that refused to do the survey, shame on you! Don't act too cool for the rest of us.

Again thank you to everyone that made this race possible. Florida Parks Service, US Forest Service, Marion County, St. Johns River Water Management District all allowed us to make use of their land.

We know we'll see some of you soon and some of you we won't see for a while. Either way hopefully you enjoyed your time with us and decide to come back and do it all over again. Adventure Racers are some of the most unique people in the world and it is fun to dip out of reality for a few days with you.

Be well and come back soon.
