Team Pangea USARA National Championship Race Report

Team Pangea headed to Nashville, Indiana to compete in the 2013 USARA National Championship. Read up as our team represented the awesome community of adventure racers we have here in Florida.

Pangea Adventure Racing was captained by Pangea Founder Greg Owens. He was joined by map specialist Ron Eaglin and the magnificent May-li Cuypers.

They competed against many familiar faces including Checkpoint Zero (who qualified at our Sea 2 Sea AR) and Rib Mountain Racing (the former Green Paw Adventure Sports who qualified at our Atomic AR). Rib Mountain had the help of May-li in that race but in this one she was all ours!

At the end of the day the team performed admirably and took third place in the Coed Master category. Greg stated it was his third USARA and it was another well run event. He always looks back at his fitness level shortcomings and the occasional navigational errors and wonder what could have been. Great race though, and he actually enjoyed the initial paddle as it represented much of what old school paddling in Florida is like with small backwater creeks and much downfall.

For a full detailed race report, please read Ron's write up at his blog. It is a very thorough account of their time there with many pictures and video.
