The third race in the Pangea 2009 Elite Point Series, and the ONLY Florida adventure race in the renowned National Checkpoint Tracker Series! The ACC is also a regional qualifier for the USARA National Championship.

RACE START / FINISH LOCATION: 489 S Roscoe Boulevard Extension, St Johns, Florida 32082
This race takes place around the intercoastal waterways between quaint and historic St. Augustine and beautiful Ponte Vedra, south of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Among this pristine coastal region you can expect active gators, bushwacking, mysterious waterways, historic sites and more! We are excited to announce that this race will be designed by FL Xtreme, Florida's premier adventure racing club. The FL Xtreme racing team is ranked within the top 20 teams in the 2008 USARA national rankings.
RACE START/FINISH LOCATION: The race start and finish line (for both Sport and Elite races) is located at Guana River WMA, which is a 9,815-acre wildlife management area located in St. Johns County. Address/directions to the exact race start/finish location: 489 S Roscoe Boulevard Extension, St Johns, Florida 32082 ie:South .5 mile on Roscoe Blvd. Ext. from the intersection of CR 210 and the intercostal waterway.

Sport raceview details
Details:
The Sport race will be a 4-5 hour event and is perfect for those new to the sport of Adventure Racing or just looking for a shorter daytime challenge. We recommend checking out our free "AR 101" training session the morning of the race, which covers the basics of using a compass, reading a map, and how to run the race.

PROVIDED EQUIPMENT: Maps will be on water resistant paper. Canoes, paddles and life vest will be provided. No GPS allowed.
WHAT TO BRING:
Per Person: off-road bike, bike helmet, whistle, hydration and food to last event.
Per Team: compass, knife, first aid kit, cell phone.
Recommended: dry bag to keep phone dry.

Are you a participant racing in the Checkpoint Tracker Series? The ACC is the only race in the Series that takes place in beautiful coastal Florida. This race is also a regional qualifier for the 2009 USARA National Championship and Pangea will provide $400 towards the entry fee for the winning coed team. Pangea Adventure Racing offers unique and well-organized races in inspiring locations, designed to challenge your team’s strategy and skills.
Is your team racing in the Pangea Elite Point Series? The ACC is the 3rd race in the Series and is certain to set the bar high for the rest of the year!
The host hotel and Friday race check-in is in St. Augustine at the Rodeway Inn on the corner of US1 and SR16. The hotel has a great ACC rate of $70 per night.
