Nocturnal Challenge

SPORT 5 Hour and ELITE 18 Hour Adventure Race

Pangea presents the Nocturnal Challenge. “Step off into the abyss, zipping through the night at speeds up to 20 miles per hour! Many animals are most active at night giving you the chance to spot an entirely new set of Forever Florida's residents.” Come enjoy the nocturnal aspects of the outdoors in an epic adventure, biking, trekking, paddling and zip lining through Forever Florida and the surrounding natural lands.

Start/Finish will be located at Forever Florida Eco-Safaris where there are a multitude of activities for all to experience and enjoy natural Florida at its best. Bring the family out to cheer your team in at the finish of the Nocturnal Challenge Sunday morning. Contact Forever Florida - Preservation Through Education to reserve / schedule specific activities.

Elite 18 hr race starts Saturday 1:30 pm and Sport 5 hr race starts Sunday 2:30 am.

Details:

The Sport race is a 5 hour event and the perfect opportunity to get out in the great outdoors for some nighttime nature viewing. Zip line, bike, trek and paddle in Forever Florida and the surrounding natural lands. For those new to the sport of Adventure Racing come join us and check out our free "AR 101" training session in the early am, which covers the basics of using a compass, reading a map, and how to run the race. No Solo's. :-(

Zipline weight restriction: must be over 70 lbs and less than 270 lbs.

Elite raceview details

Details:

Zip line, bike, trek and paddle in Forever Florida and the surrounding natural lands. The elite course starts during the heat of the day and ice will be available at select locations to help keep teams cool. Teams should be familiar and experienced with navigating using a compass and map, on water, on foot, and on bike. You should be comfortable using basic navigation techniques of hand railing, backstops, shooting a bearing, using attack points, and identifying mapped features.
